Manuel’s plato o food

Wow, look at all that … uh food.

Okay, so I can see the rice, I got the bean action down. I’m guessing under the cheesy blanket is a tortilla stuffed with some yummies. But what, pray tell, is the dark red blessing next to the beans on the right? Chili Colorado? Chipotle … ? I’m sure Joe from Denver will chime in (especially since he’s the one who sent the pic last night) and let us all know. Hugs.

  1. This is the “regular dinner” from La Casa de Manuel in Denver. Located just east of downtown, the place has being serving up hard core Mexican food for at least 25 years. This dinner is $5.50. The best chile with pork on planet earth. The plate is left/right….rice, cheese enchilada, a killer tamale in correct mole sauce, and beans made with their own homemade lard. They cook the pork fat down to chicharonnes and lard. If they know you, you gets free bowl of chich on that day.

  2. Damn, this looks good. How fast can you get this to me, because it’s lunch, and I’m hungry.
