The 3 Habaneros are a wily group, Vid, Ben, and Tim. They’ve been known for their condiments and hot sauces for years. The cool thing is they’ve finally got some backing to they can head forth! Here is my review of a few of their sauces the other day. If you haven’t read it, suggest you do because it lays some ground work as to this and that.
I started out Sunday morning early (yesterday). I knew it was time for Biggles to get some burning going on. While it says to refrigerate the sauces once opened, I know that cold food can tend to have a muted flavor. So, I pulled it out and let it rest for a while. It sat out for about 3 hours, taunting me from the counter. Man, I knew I was in for it. Ya know, I’ve never backed down from a hot cause or chile dare, but with my last 10 year life style? I ain’t been in to the Hot.
#42 Slaughter Sauce is just that, Hot. The first ingredient is Habaneros (chile peppers), second? Carrots then mandarin oranges. As with my previous thoughts, this is a wonderful blend. All the flavors are quite similar and blend well. Yet, this one here? Is the hot one, the one in front of me.
Open thine cool looking jar and peer in, got bits. Then nose turn up to find yummy habanero & carrot, mandarin burried. Citrus is there, but it takes 3 whiffs to find it.
I figured a non-reactive spoon choice and dug it in, in.
Nice, nice flavors but you have to move quick. The carrot and mandarin only take you so far, the shit is hot. My scalp started to sweat, but my brain didn’t shrink. While I’m not a hot sauce critic like Nick. This stuff has good robust flavors, yet has enough heat to keep you moving about the room for at least 10+ minutes. Then you just shake a bit and walk some more.
I can’t say what this is compared to Dave’s Insanity or whomever, but I can say, it’s hot and gots flavors. Plus you get 8 ounces man, that’s a great deal considering the size of most hot sauce bottles.

I like the Hot,Hot sauces man. It looked pretty in the picture. It sounded like a good combo also.I went to the web sight and it is 25 dollars a bottle. That is to steep for my blood. Chilebrown.

Yeah, the slaughter ain’t cheap and I’ll figure they’ll get it down to an 4 ounce bottle soon. They probably got deal on the 8 oz rig, easy an cheap. Man, they just hit the streets the other day.

It costs more than most but it will also last you alot longer. And at any rate we usually have found that the Sultry and Fever levels of heat will put be more than enough for most people. try the lower levels and see how good the quality is. If you like them work your way up. I promise you won’t be sorry.
Thanks for leting me have a little taste of sauce no 37. Hey man, I thought I was pretty tough. I put a couple of drops of EL Yucateco on everything. I allways have a hot sauce open and use some daily. That stuff last night made me humble. I am taking my hat off to them. It was flavorful after I was able to take my tongue off the floor.Chilebrown

Yeah but seriously. In Logan, Utah of all places, last week I had some awesome habaneros. Ever seen the tiny yellow ones? My friend has a freezer literally full of them every place where there isn’t New Mexico green chile. What did I do? I sliced up the ‘neros and rolled them in bacon. Just an awesome taste of their own, and since they’ve been in the freeze since 2004 they’re roughly 1.75X as hot as they are fresh off the vine.
