Well, that totally didn’t work out. Simmered up some peruano beans in chicken broth, green chiles, onion, garlic, toasted tomatillos and a little cumin seeds. After a few hours, tossed in some calabrese sausage. Oh man, that was the WRONG thing to do. The beans took on the flavor of the calabrese and all the subtleties went away forever. Bad Biggles!

I hope you had changed the batteries in your smoke alarm today. Green Chile, Yeah!!!!!!
Whoops — mixed cultures. Calabrese, while it is a hot sausage, ain’t Latino flavored enough for those other ingredients. But, as I always tell my kids, we learn by doing. The premise was right!
Next time: I predict success.
Ya shoulda looked for a chili recipe in the pooh cookbook.
